School of Studies in Statistics has major emphasis on Industrial Statistics and Operations Research apart from project work at PG level. At research level, guidance in available in Sampling Theory, Operations Research, Reliability Theory, Statistical Quality Control and Survival Analysis.
The department is under obligation to feed and train man power required in various disciplines and industrial sector of the state. The dedicated faculty actively working in applied field of Statistics have completed 10 research projects and produced more than three dozens of Ph.D.s.
