School of Studies in Chemistry
Founded in 1972 ,the SOS in
Chemistry has remained the largest school in Pt. RaviShankar
Shukla University, Raipur ,which again stands as the
premier institution in this part of land, which is poised to come
as the Chhattisgarh State on Nov. 1st ,2000. There is no need to
emphasize upon the mineral wealth available in this region
.public sector under takings of billions of rupees are also in
operation in this area .
The future of the SOS in Chemistry is an extension of its
glorious past where a team of distinguished & dedicated
faculty remained engaged during the period of nearly three
decades. The academic achievements of the SOS are well
reflected by over 600 research papers published at the world
level & over 135 PhDs' produced covering a wide spectrum of
the chemical science. All research activities were designed in a
way so that the Ph.D. degree holders could secure opportunities
in suitable careers.
The SOS played an important role in propagation of
scientific/technical expertise by arranging training
program ,workshops & field visits with a high
participation of industrial sectors.
